FinickyForge is a browser-based V3 editor with Perchance extensions, field-level Gemini-assisted writing, and pure client-side PNG chunk manipulation.

Its Gemini AI integration redefines the editing workflow. Instead of generating an entire card in one shot, FinickyForge places an AI assistant next to every field. Stuck on a personality description? Click the AI button, feed it a concept like “stoic cyberpunk hacker with a hidden soft side,” and Gemini produces a structured paragraph you can refine. The same applies to scenario writing, first messages, example dialogues, and even lorebook entries — each with an explanation of why the model chose specific phrasing.

Perchance native support is the other major differentiator. Perchance is a templating language popular in the card community for creating dynamic descriptions that randomize details on each chat start. FinickyForge recognizes Perchance syntax in description fields, highlights it, and offers a live preview so you can see the randomized output before exporting. A built-in snippet library of common templates (random physical traits, catchphrases, mood descriptors) accelerates adoption for newcomers.

All image processing — reading PNG chunks, modifying metadata, re-encoding the image — happens entirely in the browser using modern Web APIs. No data leaves your machine, preserving privacy even while using cloud-based AI features for text generation.
